 The Virginia Bariatric Society provides a close association of private practice and academic bariatric surgeons and integrated health professionals around the Commonwealth to join in a common effort to improve the quality and safety of health care and support the needs of the providers who deliver that care and our patients that receive that care.   

 The American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) welcomes all surgeons, osteopathic physicians, physicians and supporting healthcare professionals. This includes, but is not limited to bariatric & metabolic surgeons, endocrinologists, anesthesiologists, bariatric physicians, pediatricians, geriatricians, gastroenterologists and any other physicians involved in bariatrics. You must be a member of the ASMBS to join the VBS.
